5TS visit Luxulyan

5TS had an adventurous day out exploring the Luxulyan Valley. They navigated their way through woodland terrain, which  enabled the pupils to imagine themselves as characters from this term’s book ‘The Explorer’. The children were able to experience a variety of Cornish industrial history including old mine workings. They also visited the towering viaduct situated within the valley, which the children created some detailed sketches of. A highlight of the day for many was the train trip to Luxulyan and back, which enabled the children to see Newquay and it’s surrounding areas from a different perspective.
