The Year 6 members of our choir have been out in our community this morning singing Christmas Carols.
Firstly, they went to Penberthy Care Home to sing to the residents. One lady, who has suffered with loss of hearing for many years, had new hearing aids fitted yesterday. This meant that today was the first time she had heard children sing in a very long time. The smile on her face throughout all of the songs was heartwarming.
Secondly, they went to Newquay Hospital to sing for the elderly patients there. Some of the ladies sang along with the children and also had huge smiles on their faces throughout. We are very proud of our pupils who have sprinkled a little Christmas joy into many people’s lives today.
