Dear Parent/Carer
As part of this term’s topic of ‘Plants’, we have arranged an educational visit for Y3 pupils to the Eden Project. This will be a whole day visit and will take place on Wednesday 3rd May.
We will be engaging the pupils in a number of fun activities that will help to broaden their learning in Science, Literacy and Art and the inspirational learning environment at Eden will help to enhance and motivate the children’s learning experience. It will be a fantastic day!
We are requesting a contribution of £6.60 per pupil which will be payable via ParentPay online or barcoded letter if required, no later than Monday 1st May. The cost for the visit has been subsidised by the PTA.
Your child will require a packed lunch with drink (no cans or glass please), a backpack, sensible shoes for walking and a lightweight waterproof coat. The children will need to wear their uniform on the visit. Children who receive free school meals will be given a packed lunch by the canteen.
Please inform the classteacher if your child has any allergies eg nut/bee stings or if they need medication of any description could you please ensure they bring this with them on the day. If your child uses an inhaler make sure this is named and brought with them on the visit, and if your child suffers from travel sickness please ensure they take any relevant medication before they arrive at the academy that morning. We will leave at 9.15am prompt and will return for approximately 4.10pm at the front of the Academy.
Please complete and return the consent form on the downloadable PDF above as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely
Year 3 Team
