IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NEW INTAKE YEAR 3 PUPILS IN SEPTEMBER 2015
Due to building work at Newquay Junior Academy, access to the school site will be securely controlled with pupils’ safety being of key importance.
All Year 3 pupils will only use the BACK GATE for access to and from school FOR THE ENTIRE AUTUMN TERM.
On the first day of term (Monday 7th September 2015), all Year 3 teachers will be at the Back Gate to welcome all Year 3 pupils. Academy starts at 8:40 and teachers will be at the Back gate from 8:20am. Parents will be given the choice whether to leave or accompany their child/ren into the hall.
In the afternoon, the Back Gate will be open from 2:50pm for parents to come into the hall to collect their child/ren, just as you did on the transition day in July.
For the remainder of the first week, children can be collected from their classrooms to facilitate communication with teachers and aid the settling in process.
In the following weeks, teachers will normally be available in their classes until 3:10pm every day should parents wish to discuss anything. You will need to sign in at the reception office when visiting a class teacher.
