Message from

Tom Jolley, Head Boy and Lilli Price, Head Girl:

“During the past week, Year 6 have been doing their

Mid Term Tests preparing them for SATs in May.  Also, Year 6 have been busy learning about how we see things.  Due to this, we have had the privilege to watch the dissection of a REAL eye.  On Tuesday the 10th of February, we will be hosting a ‘Splat the Teacher’ to raise money for the water fountains so the students can have a drink during break.  We all hope you have a great rest of the year.”

Reminder from Year 4

Please can parents ensure that children have their PE kits with them throughout the week and that items are clearly labelled. (Tracksuits are recommended at this time of year.) Thank you.

Attendance/Lateness Tables (from start of Academic Year)

Year Group No. of Lates % Attendance
3 149 97.02
4 128 95.30
5 151 95.39
6 156 95.16

We appreciate that lateness is sometimes unavoidable due to medical/dental appointments. However, please may we remind parents that pupils need to arrive on premises in plenty of time for class registration at 8.50am. Please be aware that the Academy’s side security gate is open at 8.00am for the arrival of children to Breakfast Club.

Year 3 Swimming

We would like to say a massive thank you to parents for their fantastic support with ensuring children remember their swimming kits and coats for the swimming lessons taking place at Waterworld during our Academy Afternoons this half term.

NJA Class Photographs

Class photographs are scheduled to take place at the Academy on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th March.

Park & Stride

The Park & Stride facility at the Heron Tennis Centre car park is available for parents and children. We hope parents will support us in easing the traffic congestion outside the Academy at both 2.55pm and at the end of after-school clubs at 4.00pm. A polite reminder that for safety and emergency reasons the Academy car park is for staff use only, and our Disabled Bay is for Badge Holders only. We appreciate parents support in parking safely and considerately outside the Academy and in the surrounding residential area.
