Newquay Junior Carnival Success

Newquay Junior Carnival Success

Last weekend we entered Newquay Carnival as a walking entry depicting The Greatest Showman. This year’s carnival has been the biggest in recent years with a wonderful turn out in the beautiful sunshine, so it was great to take part.

We were delighted too because Newquay Junior Academy was awarded two trophies; Best in Schools Category and Best Walking Entry! So a big congratulations goes out to all the children in Year 3 and in Carnival club who produced the amazing artwork.

There were performing horses, lion and elephant heads, jugglers ‘ masks and streamers all made by the children. Thanks also to the gymnasts and all the participating Year 6 cast members who wore their home produced costumes to the event too. We all had great fun and the pupils and their families represented our school brilliantly.

Now, Newquay Lions have invited us to an award ceremony at the Heron Tennis Centre at 7:10pm on Wednesday 17th July. Please could any children and families from our carnival groups attend the event with Miss Robinson for a photo and the presentation?

There will be a letter issued on Friday 12th July with all the details.

Well done again to all those involved!
