Message from Mr Reep, Associate Headteacher:
Welcome back to all our pupils and families after the half term break.
I am delighted to let you all know that we took ownership of the new sports and performing arts building last Monday. It truly is a fantastic space for all our current and future pupils to enjoy, learn and perform in, and one that I hope the community will enjoy and can make full use of for many years to come. Pupils and staff had the chance to hold their first ever assembly in it on Friday and celebrate the achievements of the week together – the excitement and atmosphere was inspiring!
Our new building will be known officially as ‘The Edge Centre’ and we plan to celebrate its opening with pupils and parents with a Summer Music Festival after the Easter holidays. We’ve also been delighted by the positive comments from parents, pupils and local residents about how the front of the Academy has been improved and made even more safe for everyone. This was a really important issue for all staff and Directors. For the time being we will continue to use both the front and back entrances for arriving and leaving each day and continue to monitor how the site can best keep your children safe at all times.
Can I personally thank parents and pupils for your patience and support over the past 7 months during the building works and for working so positively with the temporary arrangements that had to be put in place during this time.
I am looking forward to meeting parents over the term, especially during the upcoming Parent Review Evenings where if you haven’t already had a chance to see our new hall, then you will be most welcome to do so during your visit.
Best wishes
Mr A Reep, Associate Headteacher

Parent Parking and Road Safety at NJA
As parking restrictions are shortly to come back into force at the end of March, please be aware that NJA still have some parking permits available (1 permit per family) which enables use of the Heron Tennis car park during drop-off and collection times. Could we also request that when collecting your child at the end of the day, the crossing patrol facilities are used when crossing the road at this busy time. Thank you.
