Many pupils from across several year groups collaborated to produce some stunning artwork for Newquay Carnival. Year 4 pupils produced some striking willow butterflies which were joined in the parade by a huge group art installation of ICT images of pupils faces that joined up to make a psychedelic butterfly centrepiece. Pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 also created glittery T-shirts that they wore for the parade. The pupils had a great time representing the academy in the parade on Saturday 8th July.
Many other children from the academy also joined the parade; some by lining the streets with families to give cheers and support, but many others representing their out of school clubs. Many NJA pupils paraded with football, rugby, surf lifesaving, Brownies and Scouts and even private family groups. It all contributed to a great community event.
