Today’s (10/07/2018) semi-final clash of the NJA World Cup saw two excellent teams battling for a place in the final. The first half included Poland taking a 2-0 lead over Australia with goals from Kofie and Jobe.
In group 1’s final game, Australia beat Brazil 1-0 with a goal from Noah.
Group 2’s game saw Croatia have a convincing 7-0 victory over Spain. A hat trick from Walter, two goals from lucy and a goal each from Ben and Shea.
The semi-final lineup will be as follows:
Australia vs Poland – Tuesday July 10th – 12:20
Costa Rica vs Croatia – Wednesday July 11th – 12:20
Provisional date for the Final will be Tuesday 17th July.
The penultimate game in group 1 saw France beat Portugal 2-1 with goals from Cody and Billy and with Millie scoring for Portugal.
In group 2, England defeated Belgium 2-1 with goals from Zak, Fin and with Ross scoring for Belgium.
Tomorrow’s final group games are Brazil vs Australia and Croatia vs Spain.
Today’s (15-06-2018) result include: in league 1, Australia beat Iceland 1-0. Goal scored by Harry.
League 2 saw Germany had a convincing 4-0 victory over spain with Ashton scoring 3 goals and another scored by Evan.
The last two games in each group will take place on the 25th and 26th of June due to school camp next week.
In today’s games (14/06/18) Costa Rica beat Brazil 3-0 with goals from Blake, Finn and Heath.
In League 2, Poland beat England 1-0 with a goal scored by Kofi.

Meanwhile in League 2, Croatia beat a diminished Belgium, who were coping with multiple injuries. Goals from Cody and Mackenzie put the final score to 3-0
In today’s games (12/06/18), Portugal beat Australia 1-0. Goal scored by Cory.The other game saw Poland defeating Spain 2-0, both goals scored by James.

Portugal and Brazil drew 2-2 today, with goals from Oliver, Millie and Corey. Today’s League 2 game had Belgium beat Poland 2-0 with a goal from Ross and an own goal. Man of the match is awarded to the Goalkeeper, Oscar.

NJA World Cup Update:
There are no games being played Monday to Thursday this week due to SATS exams. Last Friday’s postponed games will be played this Friday (18th May) This will be Brazil vs Iceland (League 1, 12:20) and Belgium vs Spain (League 2, 12:35).
Day 2 of the NJA World Cup saw Costa Rica and Portugal play out a 0-0 draw in League 1.
In League 2, Poland beat Croatia 1-0 with Boyd getting the all important goal.
The first games of the Newquay Junior Academy World Cup took place on 9th May 2018.
In League 1, Australia beat France 1-0 with the only goal scored by Harry.
In a League 2 surprise, England beat Germany 2-1. England led 2-0 with goals from Zak and Ashley. Germany created the better chances but failed to take them. Their late goal was scored by Tahmid.
