Voice in a Million

Voice in a Million

On Thursday 15th March 2018, 50 very tired and excited children travelled to London to perform as part of the ‘Voice in a Million’ choir at Wembley SSE Arena. Voice in a Million was set up in 2009; as a promoter of school / singing events, with an under-pinning message that raises awareness of the plight of children in care and the importance of Adoption and Fostering, both in the UK and worldwide.

The choir sang a range of well-known chart songs, as well as songs written especially for the event. The children rehearsed throughout the Spring Term and worked incredibly hard to learn the songs and actions.

The whole day was a huge success and has created many memories for both children and staff; with a visit to the Wembley Library, pizza for dinner and of course the main event in the evening. Their behaviour was impeccable and represented the academy with great delight – we are very proud of all our talented musicians here at Newquay Junior Academy. Did you know when we sing in unison our hearts start beating in unison too?
