Dear Parent/Carer
Year 3 Swimming Sessions
Year 3 pupils are to have weekly swimming sessions at Newquay Waterworld pool on Academy afternoons (Thursdays) during normal academy hours. The first session will start on Thursday 19th January and will continue on the 26th January, 2nd, 9th and 23rd February (after half term). As these sessions take place during Academy hours, pupils will be collected as per their normal hometime arrangement.
Can we kindly ask you to make sure that each week your child has the correct kit and a suitable bag which can be closed or zipped (carrier bags are not appropriate).
Swim Kit – Girls must wear a one piece swimming costume and for boys we strongly recommend swim trunks or swimming shorts (no long board shorts) and a towel. Those pupils with long hair must either have their hair secured and/or wear a swimming hat. Please ensure items are named where possible.
We remain fully committed to ensuring all our children are safe in the water, this is the starting point. We then enjoy their successes as they become older as they make the most of opportunities to extend skills in the pool and by the sea.
