This term the children of Year 4 have been learning all about India through Geography, RE, Art, Dance, Literacy and ICT. Staff across the academy have been involved in delivering the curriculum including Newquay Tretherras, who have been involved in developing the children’s dance skills leading to a select group of children being chosen to take part in the NT annual showcase earlier this month. They have explored many aspects of Indian culture including religion, food, housing, languages and traditions and rounded off their work with a presentation to parents and children of the academy. The presentation was well attended by parents and demonstrated how much hard work and effort the children have put into their work this half term, something the staff of Year 4 are incredibly proud of.
