Year 6 London Visit 2016

Year 6 London Visit 2016

The Year 6 staff are offering pupils the opportunity to visit London from MONDAY 23rd MAY to THURSDAY 26th MAY which would involve a four day visit with three nights accommodation. The itinerary includes the following:-

The National Gallery
The Natural History Museum
The National Science Museum
St. Paul’s Cathedral
The Tower of London
A walking tour of London
A boat trip on the River Thames
The London Eye Experience
A theatre visit to see “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”.

From present costings, the amount payable will be £280.00, which includes transport, accommodation, food, official guides and all entrance fees.  We appreciate that this is a considerable sum, however, following previous visits, we do believe it to be a wonderful experience and excellent value for money.  We require the full amount to be paid no later than the 24th March 2016.  To help with budgeting, we will be happy for payments to be made in instalments.   As in previous years, there will be activities offered to the children who do not wish to go to London during this week and details of these activities will be sent home at a later date.

We need to have definite numbers in order to proceed any further.  If you would like to apply for a place for your child then please sign and return the attached slip.   Please give some thought to this visit as the process of organising 130+ children on either Activity Week or London is a huge undertaking and swapping children between the two is not always possible when bookings have been made.

Yours sincerely,
The Year 6 Teaching Staff.
